Mr. Rafael Mariano Grossi, despite his busy schedule, on the eve of the 65th IAEA General Conference closing met with the Heads of the national representation of Ukraine of the global network Women in Nuclear Global – WiN Ukraine.
The meeting took place immediately after the joint thematic event WiN Global and WiN IAEA “Cooperating with Women in Nuclear: Supporting Talent in the Nuclear Field” on Friday, September 24, where WiN Ukraine had the opportunity to communicate with national networks from other countries, exchange views on further cooperation and opportunities to strengthen the promotion of gender equality in the nuclear field.
Mr. Grossi assured the Ukrainian representation of his support and wished inspiration for new achievements, giving a positive assessment of the active work of the representation.
“For WiN Ukraine, the support of the IAEA, as well as friendly relations with other WiN Global offices, are signs that we are moving in the right direction, and we only need to increase our capacity and expand our activities. We need to help the country become better and support the nuclear sphere, and especially women in it, to support active actions and useful projects, “said Margaryta Rayets and Anastasiia Nechytailo.
