From October 17 to 21, 2022, the Black Sea Women in Nuclear Network Annual Meeting was held in Malta.
The participants of the event had the opportunity to share and learn from the experience of colleagues from the field of nuclear energy, raising essential topics during the meeting, in particular:
• initiatives to promote women in nuclear energy, best practices for
development and support;
• formation of sustainable management processes to ensure gender equality in
the nuclear sphere
• multifaceted approaches to encouraging women in the nuclear industry
• responsibility, leadership, and resources to support women in the nuclear field.
WiN Ukraine experts also participated in the event: Svitlana Kulchytska, who moderated the panel “Nuclear Power in War and Peace,” and Valentyna Odynytsia, with a report on the topic “Safety and Security of Nuclear Power Plants in the Time of War: Chornobyl NPP.”
