WiN Ukraine announces an open call within the framework of the exhibition “Empowering Radiance: views of nuclear women on war through the prism of art”

The NGO “WiN Ukraine” in partnership with the Ukrainian Nuclear Society announces an open call within the framework of the exhibition “Empowering Radiance: views of nuclear women on war through the prism of art”, which aims to shed light on the multifaceted nature of female professionals nuclear industry of Ukraine, the importance of nuclear energy in the life of society and the artistic expression of women’s experiences during a large-scale war.

“Empowering Radiance” is an exhibition about women and for women, because it has a charitable goal to raise funds for Ukrainian women who defend our land in the war against Russian invaders. Challenging stereotypes and encouraging positive change, the exhibition harnesses the transformative power of art to empower women in the military in need of ammunition, uniforms, footwear, protection, and “female humanitarian” kits.

How to participate in the exhibition?

To do this, you need to send an application to the organizers (link: https://docs.google.com/…/1SIw0qqNkqqIdt1ZbTBaCQSh…/edit) , in which the following data must be specified:
1) full name;
2) photos of works of art;
3) a detailed description for each photo (name, material of the work, year of execution and estimated cost).

Works in two categories are accepted for participation: fine art and decorative and applied art.

Authors who successfully pass the selection will be presented at the “Empowering Radiance” exhibition.

The most original works of art will participate in the public auction. The selection of works for the auction will be carried out by a competent jury.

All funds collected will be directed to help women who serve in the ranks of the Armed Forces.

The organizers will return the works of art that will not be sold to their authors.

Before submitting an application for the Open call, please read the rules of participation carefully. This will help to complete the application correctly and successfully pass the selection. A total of 2 to 5 works of art can be submitted for participation.

Applications are accepted until 23:59 on October 6, 2023.

All authors will be notified of the status of the application by October 15, 2023 inclusive.
