On January 18, 2024, a meaningful pilot webinar titled “Challenges and Opportunities for Women in Nuclear Energy” was held, organized by the President of WiN Ukraine, Margaryta Rayets. She emphasized the vital role of women in the nuclear sector, particularly in the context of today’s pressing challenges such as gender stereotypes, nuclear terrorism, and the fight against disinformation.
Margaryta stressed that success in overcoming these challenges requires creating an environment where leadership is based on competence rather than gender roles. She highlighted three key directions for advancing women in nuclear energy:
– Building open and inclusive environments
– Promoting proactive leadership
– Strengthening professional networking
To support and empower women professionals in this field, WiN Ukraine is launching a new closed community – “WIN UKRAINE Club: be professional, perspective and free.”
This club will serve as a platform for experience sharing, networking, collaboration, and inspiration for both personal and professional growth.
