Today, on March 31, 2022, the Governing Council of the World Association of Nuclear Operators (WANO), at its meeting, has supported the request of NNEGC Energoatom and decided to redirect the Company together with all its stations and nuclear power units to Paris Center of WANO.
To be redirected:
1. Zaporizhia NPP (6 WWER-1000 units);
2. Rivne NPP (2 WWER-440 units and 2 WWER-1000 units);
3. Yuzhno-Ukraiinsk NPP (3 WWER-1000 units);
4. Khmelnytskyi NPP (2 WWER-1000 units).
Recall that the Ukrainian NPPs were connected to Moscow Center of WANO since it was established in 1989.
