One of the important international events for the anniversary of the military aggression against Ukraine was the holding of a high-level event with the participation of 45 ambassadors and their deputies at the residence of the Embassy of Sweden on February 28 in Vienna with the assistance of the Permanent Mission of Canada to the International Organizations in Vienna, the Embassies of Sweden and Norway, namely a panel discussion on the topic of challenges for nuclear workers in the context of war and a preliminary presentation of 5 printed stories that are part of the upcoming book “Voices of Ukraine”.
The chairman of the panel discussion was the Permanent Representative of Ukraine to international organizations in Vienna, Mr. Yevhenii Tsymbaliuk.
“Voices of Ukraine” is an important and unique project on which the WiN Ukraine team, under the auspices of the World Institute for Nuclear Security, worked fruitfully throughout 2022 from different parts of the world.
17 heroes, 17 unique stories and even more important messages from Ukrainian specialists in the nuclear sphere, whose lives and futures were changed in their own way by the war,” said WINS Executive Director Lars Van Dassen during his speech.
For WiN Ukraine, the “Voices of Ukraine” project is more than just a collection of stories. This is our contribution to the fight against nuclear terrorism on the diplomatic and informational fronts. Thanks to the publication, the world will hear unique and sometimes impressive facts about how, despite all the difficulties, the Ukrainian nuclear sphere works and develops, and why it is so important to record these stories for future generations!
The presentation of the entire book is planned for the end of April 2023. So follow our announcements!
