Radioactive Source Security Management Module Now in Ukrainian

The WINS Academy is offering the Radioactive Source Security Management Module and exam in Ukrainian.

“Such a course offered by the WINS Academy (one of the most powerful institutions in the field of nuclear security), especially in cooperation with the leading university of Ukraine – Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute – offers accumulated knowledge, confirmed by the experience of the best global experts in the field,” Margaryta Rayets, WiN Ukraine President, said.

“Transmitting this knowledge in the Ukrainian language finally makes it accessible to those who wish to deepen and multiply it, or choose their career path in the field of handling radioactive materials. WiN Ukraine is glad to be a part of this wonderful initiative!”

The project was made possible by the generous support of Swedish Radiation Safety Authority (SSM). “Swedish Radiation Safety Authority is pleased to be supporting WINS in their work in Ukraine. Capacity building is a high priority for us, and WINS is doing an important job in Ukraine for future sustainability. With all that is currently happening in Ukraine, it is a great to see that, working with WINS and Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute, SSM are able to support and build educational capacity in Ukraine,” Nasir Veghar, Project Manager at SSM’s Section for International Policies and Co-operation in the Department of Regulation and Knowledge Development, said.

“KPI is proud to be working in collaboration with WINS.  Having the WINS Academy Radioactive Source Security Management programme available in the Ukrainian language is a great way to help us to build capacity and capability in Ukraine,” said Tymofii Bibik, Associate Professor, and Ivan Ostapenko, Professor Assistant, at Igor Sikorsky Kyiv Polytechnic Institute.
