February 11 – International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

Science, like the whole world, is evolving rapidly every minute. Quite simply, due to still existing gender stereotypes and prejudices, women still face restrictions in this area. Therefore, on February 11, 2015, the resolution of the 70th session of the UN General Assembly introduced the International Day of Women and Girls in Science.

Maria Skladowska-Curie, Françoise Barre-Sinussi, Carol Grader and hundreds of other female names, along with significant research and discoveries. The idea, the thirst for search and professionalism should not have any restrictions, including gender. Therefore, WiN Ukraine sincerely wishes all women scientists self-confidence and urges never to restrain the desire to engage in science, if it can make you happy and change the world for the better!
