Another landmark event took place in the field of nuclear energy, and it was noted by the international specialized mass media. Energoatom reports this in its Telegram channel.

The industry publication World Nuclear News reports that Rolls-Royce SMR has signed memorandums of understanding to explore the possibility of locating its Small Modular Reactors (SMRs) in Finland and Sweden, as well as to assist in the post-war reconstruction of Ukraine.

Thus, by the Memorandum of Understanding signed with SE “NAEK Energoatom” on March 20, 2023, Rolls-Royce SMR undertakes to support the recovery of our country through the deployment of an MMR installation “capable of producing a sufficient amount of carbon-free electricity to ensure powering one million homes for over 60 years.”

The signed documents mark a new stage in the development of small modular reactor technologies, and Ukraine is already among the leading countries that plan to implement MMR for the production of clean, carbon-free energy in the future!
